Functional Training

Functional training is a form of training that is relevant to everyday life and crosses all sports. It involves complex movement sequences that work several joints and muscle groups simultaneously. This contrasts with traditional strength training, where the majority of exercises are often performed on equipment in order to isolate the targeted muscles or muscle groups. If you look at people's movements in everyday (sports) life, you will notice that virtually no movement is restricted to just one joint.
